We are honored again to be this year’s recipient of the 50/50 draw held at the Barb Smith & Marj Jefferson Memorial Golf Tournament.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the tournament founded by Quesnel golfers Barb Smith & Marj Jefferson in 1968. They were returning from Prince George where they attended the 1st Annual Simon Fraser Ladies Tournament when the discussion was began about started a similar tournament in Quesnel.
The following day, Barb passed away from a heart attack. That is when Marj organized the low-net tournament in her friends honor. When Marj passed away in 1993, her name was also added.
The tournament continues to be held annually by the Quesnel Golf Club for women in the region
